This is one of my favorite songs ever! An amazing hair- raising Dharmavathi, and Chithra is god level in this song! Hearing Ranjini sing it in yesterday’s Airtel Super Singer (she has turned out to be a fantastic singer btw!) has set me onto listening to the original continously for three hours now! Azhagan is also a favorite movie of mine. I used to watch it everytime Ktv telecast it on lazy Saturday mornings. A really feel good movie. My favorite scene is the one where Mammooty confronts Banupriya for yelling at his daughter, and she continues to dance even when the music is turned off! The music in this movie is fantastic. Jathi malli and Sangeetha Swarangal being the other two gems. The kids are konjam annoying though, especially the A for, B for bit. And of course the annoying brother-in-law on wheels character. He was that irritating compere from DD Metro/Sun TV in the early nineties along with Priya and the rest. Anybody remember the name? Some Chakravarthy no? God I miss the nineties!

my favourate scene is where banupriya finds out that azhagan is a widower and she smiles subtly..then says sorry and all…classic!
also the credits had “mukiya kadapathrathil tholaipesi”
and he was some chakravarthy

Azhagan is my fav too.. handsome mamooty to swoon to! i love that doordarshan bit at the end of sangeetha swarangal.. indicating day break!

Some good scenes are Mamooty’s speech in Bhanu Priya’s dance show. And also the lines of Geeta’s sister character. I don’t know if these will come across as mokkais during this time. Really long time since I saw this movie. But a pretty good one, actually, for mamooty.
Jaadi Mali tops my list. Also the bhanu priya dance show folk type song. It is underrated!
